I am pleased to announce that Professor David Sharp from Imperial College London has been elected to the Guarantors of Brain, and will become the new Secretary to the Guarantors. David leads ground-breaking research on Traumatic Brain Injury, its mechanisms of impact on the brain, and its long term consequences. He has contributed to Brain in many ways over the years - and from Jan 2019, he becomes a Guarantor (a Trustee of the charity) and an associate editor of the journal, Brain. As secretary, he will now also support the Board of Management in their decisions about our charitable activities - from Fellowships and Global Neurology to support for Public Understanding of Neurology and conferences.
To contact the Secretary and Treasurer with enquiries about Brain and our funding schemes, please use the contact form on the website.
From March 2019, the Chairmanship of the Board of Management will also change, from Professor Paul Matthews to Professor Anne Rosser, at Cardiff University. Anne has been a Guarantor for several years, in parallel with her leadership in research into the mechanisms of cell injury and plasticity in major neurodegenerative diseases.
On behalf of the Board of Management, I would like to welcome both Anne and David a very warm welcome.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
